Jointed Hearts 2016 in Gothenburg was a convention really worth visiting. We will definitely be there this year as well with some nice doll stuff. The convention takes place 26-27 August. More information can be found here.
Hope to meet you there!
The Skyfall head is now available through my newly opened Etsy shop.
While the shop is primarily intended for the dolls themselves, sets of doll clothes and other accessories may pop up there from time to time.
May 2017 be a great doll year for you all!

I’ve had the opportunity to try the head on two more bodies.
A big thank you goes to Lumerix for providing the bodies and to Magnus Clarén for taking the photos.
Doll Zone 42cm Girl Body (B45-008)
Impl 43cm Boy Body
I have tried the prototype head on the bodies I have available.
Since this is still a prototype, these pictures don’t say anything about resin matches, but they can be useful to see size and proportions.
The head should fit nicely on any body with similar measurements. They all have a neck circumference of between 7 and 7,5 cm. The head has a decent range of movement on all of these bodies.
Doll Leaves Teenage Dream boy body
Luts Kid Delf Romantic body
Lati Blue girl body
Here are a few pictures of the finished prototype Skyfall head. It has been cast in house, painted and mounted on two different bodies.
The girl is shown here on a Lati Blue Girl body.
The boy is shown here on a male Doll Leaves ¼ Teenage Dream body.
I use Super Sculpey for my original sculpt. It is a soft, high quality polymer clay.
Here is another image of the head, ready for casting.
I made a silicone mold and cast the head in polyurethane resin myself, even though the final cast will be done by a casting company.
This way I have heads in the right material to play with, paint and try on different bodies, ahead of time. It also means I don’t have to send my actual original sculpt to the casting company, so if something should go wrong and it is damaged or lost in shipping, it’s not the end of the world.
So, why not just casting the finished dolls in house and save the money from have it produced elsewhere? Well, honestly, I’m no professional caster. I work in my own home and don’t have the facilities or experience to safely produce a high quality product here. It is also a lot of work and that is work of a kind that I am neither very interested in nor very good at. This way I have more energy and time to put into the actual sculpting and marketing aspects and the customer will get a better product in the end.
I’ve finally taken the plunge and decided to make a serious attempt at making and selling my own doll heads. This is kind of a big step for me and it’s both exiting and intimidating.
So, let’s see how it goes.
